Radioactive ore sorting system
High speed, high sensitivity customable ore sorting system for high-speed evaluation of radioactive ore residue
Key features
Crytur provides a customable ore sorting system for high-speed evaluation of radioactive ore residue used in sorting lines of quarry or gravel stone, coal or waste. It is powered by the family of modern G4S scintillation detectors. The system provides a high-speed recognition of radioactive contaminants and delivers reliable data for the conveyor sorting mechanism.
- HIGH SENSITIVITY based on unique detector solution and optimized geometry providing extraordinary S/N ratio
- Possible sorting of ore with both, very high or low abundance of radioactive rock
- High spatial resolution provides highly EFFICIENT ACTIVE/NON-ACTIVE SORTING
- HIGH-SPEED DETECTION AND SIGNAL EVALUATION enable signal processing at standard sorting belt speed typically 2,5 m/s
- Temperature stabilized signal in range from 0 to +50 °C
- Digital output signal for simple evaluation or synchronization with other detection methods as optical camera scanning
or x-ray sensing
Application
- Detection and sorting of radioactive ore (uranium, thorium, potassium, rare earth based ores…)
- Sorting of quarry or gravel stone for use as construction materials
- Monitoring of ore streams to prevent of natural radioactivity
- Monitoring of coal ash used for building material production
- Monitoring of radioactive pollutants in general waste sorting and reprocessing facilities
